The Check Me If You Can Basketball training program is designed to teach boys and girls the fundamentals of basketball. Youth/Pro Trainer Gerrod Henderson and his staff of professional players and coaches, as well as his current Check Me If You Can college players, will guide players to success.
About Coach Gerrod Henderson
Coach Gerrod Henderson, Youth/Pro Trainer started the Check Me If You Can Basketball Program in 2015. Coach Henderson’s basketball philosophy has developed from many years as a successful player at Louisiana Tech University and in Europe.
Coach Henderson graduated from Louisiana Tech as the school’s all-time leader with 191 steals. As a guard, he left the program with more conference wins than any other player in the school’s history.
Coach Henderson ranks 5th as the All-Time Scorer for Louisiana Tech, 2nd in Steals, 6th in Assists, and 6th in Free-Throw Assists. He was named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year as a Sophomore and named All-Conference three times. He was also named the Louisiana Sports Writers Association’s Player of the Year.
After graduating from Louisiana Tech, he moved to Europe where he played professionally for 11 years. He played for teams in Greece, Poland, Israel, Turkey, Ukraine, and Serbia.
Coach Henderson works hand-in-hand with other youth/pro trainers and coaches. He and his team bring many years of experience to his youth basketball camps.
